The blog where we live our 'Client Obsessed' value.
10 years.
That’s the average length of our client relationship. (Industry average? 3.)
Easy to do right?
Well, let me ask you this—if you’ve been married for any amount of time…has it been easy? Easier as time goes on?
If you’re answering honestly…nah. It’s not easy. And it’s definitely not easier as time goes on because…well, things change.
But like any relationship, you invest your time, embrace change and take joy in caring for that person.
The client/agency relationship is no different. It’s not always easy. It takes work. And it’s one of the most rewarding things you can experience on a professional level.
So while you all want to celebrate Valentine’s Day with your sweetie. Your boo. Your bae. Your huzz. We want to take a minute and celebrate the love we have for our clients by sharing just how much joy and passion we have for these relationships. For that I had to go right to the source – our team. Thank you to Akhia for crowdsourcing this blog with true, heartfelt expressions that help us live our ‘Client Obsessed’ value.
Ok, plus I had some fun – see if you can pick out the movies the headers are referencing… (answers at the end)
“I’ve got a sneaky feeling that you’ll find love actually is all around.” by Holly Wachtendonk, Senior Consultant
What I love most is digging deep to truly understand my clients’ businesses like they’re my own. I believe the strongest work comes from pairing sound, results-driven strategy with real relationships—getting to know clients both professionally and personally while showing up in thoughtful ways to remind them we care and are always in their corner.
“You and me. Every day.” by April Wonsick, Lead Consultant, Growth
“I love being a true extension of our clients’ teams -- collaborating, problem-solving and helping get their work and their leaders into the spotlight. Seeing the success that comes from what we’re building together is the best part.”
“It’s a million tiny little things that when you add them up, meant we were supposed to be together.” by Jane Richards, Senior Consultant, Strategy
"Clarity is my love language. Helping clients uncover the ‘aha’ moments – where the partnership, grounded strategy and opportunity align – is where the real magic and meaning of my work comes to life."
“I gave her my heart and she gave me a pen.” by Bill Delaney, Senior Content Architect
"I love helping tell our clients' stories—and that involves learning their stories first. The conversations we have to dig in, pull apart, and learn what makes our clients different are my favorite part of this job. Because the details matter: no matter how small, technical, obscure, or seemingly insignificant, they all add up to a unique value proposition that it's our job to help shape. Finding the right questions to ask and the right angles to probe is a rewarding challenge, and always results in a stronger story, no matter how that story takes shape."
“You had me at hello.” by Mike Lawrence, Creative Director
"I love how much our clients love the products, solutions and services they represent. The way they speak about them, the details they want us to know, the work behind the scenes, the belief and pride they have. And that enthusiasm motivates me too. I see what they see, become a huge fan of their brand, and want to share that with their audience so they become fans too."
“I love you.”…”I know.” by Morgan Roubic, Senior Consultant
"I love partnering with clients to turn big challenges into clear, strategic paths forward—and earning the kind of trust where they know we’re truly in it with them for the long haul."
“I’ve been doing a lot of thinking, and the thing is – I love you.” by Eric Knappenberger, Senior Content Architect.
"I love learning about the world from those who build it. Every clamp, every connection. Every piece, every part. Architecture and infrastructure are simply ambition and ingenuity at their best. We are privileged to meet the brightest minds behind the big ideas, to see innovation in action on factory floors, and to make industry the hero of our story. Because progress always points back to people."
So there you have it. In the age of AI, what more proof do you need that this business thrives on the human connection. Do you look at us and say 'I want someone to love me as much as Akhia loves it clients'? Do you think 'What do I have to do for my agency to say these things?'
Or, do you just want to connect with some folks who get you. Know the pain points you deal with every day. And want to do all they can to see you succeed. If so -- that's us.
